The first image (below) is a GoogleEarth image of the location of the DCR/Zoppo Property.  The green area in the center to the left of Winthrop Parkway (Route 145) is the property where the proposed parking lot. stone dust pathway and bridge would be located.  The seawall along the east side (right side) of Winthrop Parkway would be reconstructed and a new drainage system added.  The top of the image shows the Beachmont section of Revere.  The lower right shows the Winthrop Highlands section of Winthrop.  The lower left is the Belle Isle section of the Winthrop Cemetery.  The square shaped berm at the center left is "the key," a great area for viewing shore birds.  It is accessible from Summer Street in Beachmont.

Photos of the DCR/Zoppo Property taken April 6, 2008 showing the existing debris at the site. The granite blocks are believed to have been removed from the Deer Island construction site many years ago.
