Note: George and I walked about the most vegetated and upland parts of Belle Isle Park looking for resident passerines. After covering Rosie's Pond and the Rosie's Pond Trail to the Geoff Wood observation platform, we went over to the former Zoppo land on the Winthrop side.

George flushed a Northern Mockingbird off its nest near Rosie's. The nest was at eye level in a pear tree. There were 4 grey-speckled bluish eggs in it.

One Osprey was sitting quietly on the nest, showing the top of its head occasionally. The other Osprey got into a scuffle with a local gull.
